About Us

Mayur is a labor of love from Chef/Owner Kumar Sononey, his loving wife Tusha and their enthusiastic team members. World Class Chef Sononey conjures up innovative delights and elevates the Indian cuisine to a fine dining level; by bringing his twenty nine years of International experience of working at award winning 5-star restaurants throughout the world including New Delhi-India, Germany, England, France, Norway, New Zealand and Sydney. He has worked for the Royal family of Dubai and Bahrain. He has most recently been the head Chef at the famous Shikara restaurant in Mindarie, WA and has now started his own Mayur Indian Restaurant.

Mayur offers an exquisite menu with only highest quality and freshest ingredients available. The menu changes seasonally and offers a contemporary Indian interpretation of traditional favourites complemented by an exceptional wine list of old world and new world selections alike. From traditional favorites such as Butter Chicken, Beef vindaloo and Rogan Josh to the lesser known delights such as Palak paneer and prawn korma with a wide variety of sides including naan, roti breads, raita and chutneys, Mayur has something to offer to everyone. Chef Sononey is even happy to accommodate your special request with a couple of day’s notice so that he can source the ingredients and serve his best to match your taste.
